Tourists from Korea and China are showing a \u201cboost in confidence\u201d in the CNMI\u2019s tourism industry. This would mean more jobs, new investments, services and attractions for these tourists, according to Jim Arenovski, president of Delta Management Corp. on Saipan.<\/p>\n
The executive said the hospitality industry is still the \u201cnumber one employer of people in the CNMI and is set to grow with the addition of new hotels and restaurants, not to mention the sizeable workforce that the casino will be requiring,\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are currently seeing a boost in confidence with Korean and Chinese tourism increasing. This is attracting new investments, services and attractions. But the underlying factor to success is manpower. Companies should have motivated, dedicated, and committed people to fill these important jobs,\u201d Arenovski said.<\/p>\n
According to the executive, \u201cmost jobs in the hospitality and tourism area are jobs of passion or caring.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cBeing friendly on purpose, having a great attitude toward the job and the guests your serve\u2014the right attitude helps you engage our guests, anticipating and meeting their needs and hopefully exceeding their expectations with will make their stay in the NMI (and you) memorable,\u201d said Arenovsky, who is also an executive of Island Training Solutions.<\/p>\n

Arenovski\u2019s firm on Friday hosted a hotel and resort expo, the first ever in the CNMI.<\/p>\n
The first-ever 2015 Hospitality Expo was expected to showcase what CNMI businesses have to offer.<\/p>\n
