{"id":195073,"date":"2015-03-30T04:00:54","date_gmt":"2015-03-29T18:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=195073"},"modified":"2015-03-30T04:00:54","modified_gmt":"2015-03-29T18:00:54","slug":"change-of-time-in-aspac-committee-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/change-of-time-in-aspac-committee-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"Change of time in AsPac committee meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Asia-Pacific-Middle East Junior, Senior, and Big League Regional Tournament organizing committee will again meet on Wednesday, April 1, at the conference room of the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will be at 9am instead of 10am with tournament director and former CNMI Little League district administrator James Ada requesting the change in time schedule.<\/p>\n<p>Ada is expected to hear the progress reports of each committee heads\u2019 assignments particularly Annie Flores, who is in charge of securing accommodation for all competing teams.<\/p>\n<p>The committee is looking to reserve at least 85 rooms from any of the hotels that could accommodate the 17 teams, spread out in the three divisions, which offers one spot each to this year\u2019s Little League World Series.<\/p>\n<p>Using Marianas High School as an athletes\u2019 village is also an option that the committee is looking into since it is near the Franciso M. \u201cTan Ko\u201d Palacios Baseball Field.<\/p>\n<p>The regional tournament committee, aside from giving progress reports, is also set to discuss in adopting its bylaws on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Australia and Chinese-Taipei have already confirmed their participation in the regional tournament, set from June 26 to July 5.<\/p>\n<p>Australia will only be competing in the Juniors division, while Chinese-Taipei will be sending in the Junior and Big League classes.
