{"id":195433,"date":"2015-04-02T04:00:39","date_gmt":"2015-04-01T18:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=195433"},"modified":"2015-04-02T04:00:39","modified_gmt":"2015-04-01T18:00:39","slug":"man-in-child-porn-case-hires-forensic-expert","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/man-in-child-porn-case-hires-forensic-expert\/","title":{"rendered":"Man in child porn case hires forensic expert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vincent Masga Songsong, a man arrested by federal agents for allegedly having in his possession a laptop that contained child pornographic materials, has retained a forensic expert to evaluate the computer evidence.<\/p>\n<p>Attorney Colin Thompson, the court-appointed counsel for Songsong, informed the U.S. District Court for the NMI  during a status conference on Tuesday about the hiring of the forensic expert for their defense.<\/p>\n<p>Thompson said it would take two to three weeks for their forensic expert to complete evaluating the laptop.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant U.S. attorney Ross Naughton, counsel for the U.S. government, agreed to have another status conference in the case in late April.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. District Court Chief Judge Ramona V.
