Best Sunshine International, Ltd. plans to bring in more than a hundred gaming machines once the casino gaming regulations in the Commonwealth are finalized.<\/p>\n
Don Hallmark, Best Sunshine International\u2019s director of slots, said the company is just waiting for the final regulations before it can bring in 106 machines.<\/p>\n
The executive said the machines will come \u201cfrom all over, including the U.S.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hallmark said the machines will be the \u201clatest\u201d and will be up to standard.<\/p>\n
Standards<\/strong><\/p>\n GLI, an Australian testing and certification firm, said global standards are available for casino operators regarding the latest gaming machines.<\/p>\n \u201cBest Sunshine is already familiar with the de facto standards, which are the GLI standards,\u201d Philip Harrison, senior manager, regulator development, compliance and quality assurance for GLI, said.<\/p>\n GLI is a firm that tests and reviews the compliance of gaming machines used by casinos all over the world, according to the company website.<\/p>\n The company uses a set of standards that most casinos use. Some of the standards apply to slot machines, regarding technical specifications, integrity of software, and security, Harrison said.<\/p>\n Hallmark said the machines that Best Sunshine will be bringing in are GLI-certified.<\/p>\n Harrison visited the CNMI to have a glimpse of the island\u2019s soon-to-be casino industry. He also attended the Commonwealth Casino Commission meeting on Wednesday, primarily as an observer.
