(Roselyn B. Monroyo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Shirley\u2019s got a free victory on its game against Independents FC last Saturday, winning via forfeiture, 3-0. The division leader retains its perfect record (8-0-0 win-draw-loss) for a three-win advantage against the second-running Tan Holdings (5-3-1), which crushed Paire FC, 9-0, last Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Jennifer Perena anchored Tan Holdings\u2019 easy win with her hat-trick. Chloe Salvosa chipped in two, while Wincel Bubos, Mary Kate Alferos, Renita Fleming, and Jhaza Mirano contributed one goal apiece.<\/p>\n<p>Before its lopsided victory against Paire, Tan Holdings came off a 1-1 draw against the third-ranked Kanoa FC last Saturday. Salvosa hit the lone goal for Tan Holdings, while Jeralyn Castillo scored for Kanoa.<br \/>\nThe Kanoa-Tan Holdings match was the only game played last Saturday in the women\u2019s division, as MP United also won via forfeit against Paire.<\/p>\n<p><strong>M-LEAGUE<br \/>\nMP United 4, Paire 1<\/strong><br \/>\nMP United spoiled the debut of Australian pro triathlete Ben Allen after beating Paire in the first game in Division 1 last Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Four different players scored for MP United, which got its fourth win in six games. Joe Miller nailed the first goal for MP United, making it to the board in the opening frame, while Zu Zheng, Bob Kim, and Sung Bae Park all scored in the second half.<\/p>\n<p>Gerrard Vangils bagged the lone goal for Paire, which signed up Allen, who played in his first soccer game on Saipan a day after conquering XTERRA Saipan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wild Bill\u2019s 7, KFAS 1<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the second game in Division 1, Wild Bill\u2019s whipped Korean Football Association on Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>Adul Detdon led Wild Bill\u2019s sixth win in seven games, converting a pair of goals. Tanapon Unsa, Thanyakorn Konkoed, Terence Evan Belcher, Tyler Willsey, and Daniel Westphal chipped in one goal each. Brian Lee tallied the only goal for KFAS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kanoa 2, Shirley\u2019s 1<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the first Division 2 tiff, Kanoa edged Shirley\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>Jherico Tiamzon and Davy Laxa found the back of the net in the second half to give Kanoa its fifth win and help his team keep the second spot in the team standings behind idle Matansa (5-1-2).<\/p>\n<p>Muneaki Arai also hit the board in the second half for Shirley\u2019s, which improved to a 3-3-3 mark for third place in the seven-team field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sun Palace 1, World Resort 0<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the other Division 2 match last weekend, Sun Palace slipped past World Resort.<\/p>\n<p>Feng Chen Jin lit up the board for Sun Palace in the first half to hand his team its third win in seven games.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Thundercats booked its second victory this season after outclassing the CNMI Women\u2019s National Team last Wednesday, 4-1.<\/p>\n<p>Yong Jun Jeon made a hat-trick for the Thundercats, while Byung Kwan Ohng registered the other goal for the winning squad.
