{"id":19589,"date":"2012-05-17T06:40:43","date_gmt":"2012-05-17T06:40:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newspaper.ctsi-logistics.com\/?p=19589"},"modified":"2012-05-17T06:40:43","modified_gmt":"2012-05-17T06:40:43","slug":"ex-dps-firefighter-arrested-in-wa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/ex-dps-firefighter-arrested-in-wa\/","title":{"rendered":"Ex-DPS firefighter arrested in WA"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Same person tagged as &#8216;person of interest&#8217; in disappearance of Luhk sisters<\/div>\n<div>By Ferdie de la Torre<br \/>\nReporter<\/div>\n<p>A former Department of Public Safety firefighter was recently arrested in Burien, Washington state for domestic violence.<\/p>\n<p>Alan Santos Aguon has been at the King County jail since his arrest on May 8, 2012, a relative of Aguon&#8217;s wife told Saipan Tribune yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>A check with King County, however, indicated that Aguon was arrested on May 10, 2012, on felony charges of two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and harassment in a domestic violence. His bail was set at $500,000 cash.<\/p>\n<p>The former firefighter allegedly attacked his wife and one of his children with a chair. No other details of the incident were available as of yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Aguon is the same person referred to by former DPS commissioner Ramon Mafnas as the firefighter who refused to undergo a lie detector test in connection with the investigation into the disappearance of sisters Faloma and Maleina Luhk.<\/p>\n<p>DPS investigators at the time refused to name the firefighter, saying only that he is a \u201cperson of interest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Aguon resigned from DPS last year.<\/p>\n<p>Sources said he sold his 2003 Toyota Camry before he left Saipan on Aug. 6, 2011, to reunite with his wife and children in Washington state.<\/p>\n<p>In August 2011, FBI agents reportedly seized Aguon&#8217;s car for evidence gathering.
