{"id":198995,"date":"2015-04-13T04:00:02","date_gmt":"2015-04-12T18:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=198995"},"modified":"2015-04-13T04:00:02","modified_gmt":"2015-04-12T18:00:02","slug":"ibb-tower-to-be-removed-under-one-training-alternative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/ibb-tower-to-be-removed-under-one-training-alternative\/","title":{"rendered":"IBB tower to be removed under one training alternative"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The International Broadcast Bureau tower on Tinian would be removed and placed outside the U.S. military\u2019s lease area to under one proposed training alternative.<\/p>\n<p>Another alternative would require that the IBB operations remain limited to its current land size.<\/p>\n<p>According to the draft environmental impact statement on joint-live fire training on Tinian and Pagan, \u201cTinian Alternative 1\u201d would limit the bureau\u2019s size and operations to its current 317-acre fenced site. The current area reserved for the bureau is 866 acres.<\/p>\n<p>The EIS says that under this alternative, bureau staff would be subject to access restrictions.
