Borja stated in his report that police received a call on March 28, 2015, about a burglary case at Island Store. Police learned that 125 cartons of cigarettes worth about $4,000 were stolen.

Borja said their investigation led to the identification of Evangelista and Pangelinan, who along with a third co-defendant, allegedly conspired to sell cartons of stolen cigarettes at various stores on the island.

The third person was charged with burglary and theft, but Saipan Tribune opted to withhold the defendant’s name because it’s not clear yet whether the person has already been arrested.

In Manglona’s case, police said the suspect stole several items that were on a boat at a house in Marpo Valley last Jan. 27. The items stolen were a fire extinguisher, tools, socket, socket wrench, four life jackets, flair gun kit, slipper, rod and reel, scuba mask, and a snorkel.

Manglona was also allegedly behind the burglary at Fleming Hotel last Dec. 26, where five flat screen TVs were stolen from four rooms.

Borja said Manglona confessed to the Fleming Hotel burglary in an interview last week.

In King’s case, police detective Barbara K. Arend stated in her report that King allegedly threw her minor child to the floor on Sunday.

Medics transported the child to Tinian Health Center for check up and observation. The child was later discharged. The report did say how old the baby is.

King’s husband told police that when he came home with his cousin on Sunday at 11:20pm, his baby was crying and his wife was not there.

The husband picked up the baby for her to stop crying. When she stopped crying, his cousin carried the baby.

King arrived and took the baby. She, however, allegedly dropped the baby on the floor, causing the child to cry.

The husband asked King why she dropped the baby, but she did not answer.

Police arrested four persons on Tinian on Friday and Monday for allegedly committing separate offenses….

[4
668,3813,3814,3815
post-199148","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news","tag-baby","tag-christopher-boki-evangelista","tag-fleming-hotel","tag-manglona-jr
["GET
