Hong Kong-based Win Win Way Construction Co. is set to start the construction of a high-end resort hotel on Saipan with the arrival of a chartered ship carrying materials and equipment.<\/p>\n
Daniel S. Buniag, special assistant for special projects under the Office of the Governor, disclosed that the ship, carrying about $2 million to $5 million worth of supplies and equipment, is set to dock at the Saipan Port on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
Buniag said that Win Win Way representatives will meet with Gov. Eloy S. Inos and other government officials for a welcoming ceremony to be held on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Expected to meet with Inos are Elaine Kwok, the company\u2019s project manager and Kan Hou-Sek Jim, company president and technical director.<\/p>\n
Buniag also said Win Win Way has already leased a piece of property in Lower Base that it will use to construct a warehouse and a batching plant.<\/p>\n
The construction is then expected to go \u201cin full swing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Saipan Resort Hotel<\/strong><\/p>\n Win Win Way Construction is the main contractor for Hong Kong-based Honest Profit International Ltd.<\/p>\n In September 2014, Honest Profit International held a groundbreaking for its $130-million, 300-room hotel in San Antonio.<\/p>\n The hotel is seen to help solve the lack of hotel rooms on Saipan, particularly in peak seasons when tourists flock to the island.<\/p>\n Honest Profit earlier said it has retained the name \u201cSaipan Resort Hotel\u201d for the project. The company also said it hopes to finish the hotel in 18 to 26 months.<\/p>\n The new hotel is located immediately north of Pacific Islands Club Saipan in San Antonio.
