SAINTS\u2014SOME HONEYBEES AND SOME WANNABEES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Most mothers are saints, grandmas, aunties, and sisters
\nand second cousins are sweet sainted honeybees
\nbustling in kitchens with flour, butter, and eggs
\nbaking bread, cakes, and pies for nascent wannabees<\/p>\n

There are wannabee saints who promised the world to some girl
\nthen left before she delivered the baby or in the next few years
\nthe baby still in diapers they played lover boy and churl
\ntheir trip to sainthood left in the lurch, they shifted genital gears<\/p>\n

Saintly worker bees continue their love making money\/honey
\nproving daily their potential in providing for the queen
\nin the hive are the drones for whom daily work is not funny
\ntheir wings fanning the way to sainthood somewhere in between<\/p>\n

Wannabees go from being stamen with pistol flour to flower
\nwhile honeybee saints drip honeycomb hour by sticky hour<\/p>\n

SAINTS? MARTYRS? WHAT\u2019S THE DIFFERENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n

What\u2019s the difference between a martyr and a saint?
\nboth could be a long time dead, now statues and paint
\none might have died for a cause in a manner quaint
\nothers were murdered and on their souls not a taint<\/p>\n

The only real saint I\u2019ve ever known is my mother
\nshe put up with an alcoholic husband who beat her
\nand dealt with wise guys like me and my brothers
\nmy younger sisters were darlings and much sweeter<\/p>\n

\nhas come up with two new papal saints for answers
\nmartyrs were often imprisoned before they died
\nsaints often lived holy lives and had their religion tried<\/p>\n

Martyrdom takes seconds, roads to sainthood are harder
\nthe heart of the soul defines the saint or the martyr<\/p>\n

FOLLOW YOUR BLISS SATCHITANANDA<\/strong>

Trying to follow looking for that \u2018sacred space\u2019
\nhoping to find my very own \u2018bliss station\u2019
\nstumbling away from the rowdy rat race
\nnot even knowing when I\u2019m in the situation<\/p>\n

In ancient Sanskrit \u201cSAT\u201d means being
\n\u201cCHIT\u201d refers to total consciousness
\nhow do we relate to what we are seeing
\nwhen do we go beyond making a guess<\/p>\n

\nwhat bliss is I\u2019m uncertain still not sure
\nI kiss any ideas that I\u2019m able to capture
\nso my ‘sacred space’ and ‘bliss station’ will endure<\/p>\n

\nI stumble along slowly seeking the direction<\/p>\n

WHO AM I TO JUDGE<\/strong>

The new Argentine pope asked, \u201cWho am I to judge?\u201d
\nhe felt the Curia was unwilling to budge
\nprotected in the Papal enclave acreage
\nused to bearing that Roman Catholic guilt cudgel<\/p>\n

Only brief Papal bulletins they had to dodge
\nin a confessional mode their sins they could fudge
\ntransgressors of truth many held more than one grudge
\nno sweat when confronted with a contrite deluge<\/p>\n

Till Francis gave them a non prosequitur nudge
\nlook to the poorest you who need moral courage
\ndown their path you may begin your penitent trudge
\nlet love and forgiveness under your red caps lodge<\/p>\n

Though you all are part of the Cardinal\u2019s College
\nhumility should prevail in your sacred knowledge<\/p>\n

WHEN ANGELS DARE TO TREAD<\/strong><\/p>\n

Foolish angels rush out into cyberspace
\nbasking and building on binary theorem
\neach program and pilgrim has its exact place
\nthese cherubs guarantee that you hear them<\/p>\n

Not just the dogs that seem to run free
\nnot just the angels from below and above
\nbut those with a kindly and caring degree
\nsharing freely caring to show us their love<\/p>\n

Naysayers negate and are ready to pounce
\njumping on the unaware for making a move
\nnever giving an inch not even an ounce
\nwhen those foolish angels get out of their groove<\/p>\n

Thankful for love and after laughter the thought
