A former staff assistant of Delegate Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan (Ind-MP) was found dead inside her house in Oleai yesterday afternoon in what police classified as a homicide case.<\/p>\n
Saipan Tribune learned that the victim is Ana Maria Limes, who was found face down inside her living room.<\/p>\n
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death and the weapon used.<\/p>\n
Department of Public Safety Commissioner James C. Deleon Guerrero would only confirm last night that it is a homicide case involving a woman in Oleai shortly after noon yesterday.<\/p>\n
Deleon Guerrero said the victim is a Carolinian woman in her 40s.<\/p>\n
The commissioner said DPS will only confirm that police responded to what turned out to be a homicide incident.<\/p>\n
Deleon Guerrero said Attorney General Edward Manibusan was alerted regarding this \u201cunfortunate community tragedy.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cDPS Commonwealth Bureau of Investigation detectives are working tirelessly in investigating this case,\u201d said Guerrero, adding that the incident occurred within the San Jose or Oleai area.<\/p>\n
He said DPS will not release any other information until today\u2019s news briefing.<\/p>\n
As of press time, police hasn\u2019t arrested anyone with regards to Limes\u2019 purported killing.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, on Rota, some family members of Rose Sablan Pangelinan urged police to look into her death last Thursday.<\/p>\n
Pangelinan was said to have been found unresponsive by family members at her house in Sinapalo II and was transported to the Rota Health Center, where she was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n
There was unconfirmed information that an autopsy was already conducted at the Commonwealth Health Center on Saipan.<\/p>\n
Saipan Tribune called Rota DPS but a staff referred comment to the DPS Saipan information officer.<\/p>\n
