{"id":200424,"date":"2015-04-29T04:00:01","date_gmt":"2015-04-28T18:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=200424"},"modified":"2015-04-29T04:00:01","modified_gmt":"2015-04-28T18:00:01","slug":"may-is-womens-health-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/may-is-womens-health-month\/","title":{"rendered":"May is Women\u2019s Health Month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. will be celebrating the month of May as CNMI Women\u2019s Health Month to encourage women to become the primary caretaker of their health.<\/p>\n<p>CHCC will be joining health organizations across the nation to celebrate National Women\u2019s Health Month by urging women across the world to undergo regular health check-ups.<\/p>\n<p>CHCC chief executive officer Esther Mu\u00f1a said there will be a proclamation signing on May 4 to kick off the celebration.<\/p>\n<p>The goal is to empower women to make their health a priority. This intends to help women understand what steps they can take to improve their health.<\/p>\n<p>As part of Women\u2019s Health Month, May 11\u2014the day after Mother\u2019s Day on May 10\u2014has been designated as National Women\u2019s Check-up Day at the Women\u2019s Clinic of the Commonwealth Health Center.<\/p>\n<p>Women are urged to discuss with their health care professionals which of the tests are right for them, when they should have them, and how often.<\/p>\n<p>Maintaining regular check-ups is one of five health habits that can improve a woman\u2019s health.
