Agape Christian School and Saipan Community School had the most number of students that earned spots after the first day of the 12th Annual Public School System\/McDonald\u2019s All Schools Athletics Championship qualifiers alternately held at the Oleai Sports Complex and Hopwood Junior High School.<\/p>\n

ACS had 17 students moving on to the finals, set from May 14 to 16 at the Oleai track facility, while SCS had 15. Whispering Palms School had eight and six came from Brilliant Star Montessori School.<\/p>\n

Only the Top 4 in each event will move on to the finals. The Northern Marianas Athletics also held separate qualifying meets from April 21 to 23 in the elementary division, while April 27 and 28 are reserved for middle and high school students. Results were not yet available at press time.<\/p>\n

Mack Guintu led the ACS boys\u2019 team after topping all three of his events, while Kristen Den, Hannah Wang, and Elizabeth Xu qualified in four of their events in the girls\u2019 side.<\/p>\n

Guintu topped the qualifying heats in Under-12 boys\u2019 60-meter and 100m runs with times of 9.09 and 15.53 seconds, respectively, and in long jump after clearing 3.5 meters.<\/p>\n

Den failed to top her events but finished within the Top 4 in the U8 girls\u2019 60m (11.18) and 100m (19.43) runs, long jump (2.58m), and softball throw (9.48).<\/p>\n

Wang, Xu and Wendy Tang led a 1-2-3 finishes for ACS in the U12 girls\u2019 100m run, long jump, and softball throw. Wang and Xu also had the best times in the 60m run.<\/p>\n

Jia Hang Wu, Mike Hou, Jack Hue, Jiahao Yang, Tychichus Xu, Tony Xu, Jason Hwang, Jason Wang, Peter Shen, Victoria Ancheta, Silas Xu, and Steven Chen were the other ACS students who qualified.<\/p>\n

Seung Jin Paik and Chris Kim led SCS\u2019 charge after both qualified in all of their three events\u201460m and 100m runs, and long jump\u2014in the boys\u2019 U10 and U12 divisions.<\/p>\n

qualifying in the boys\u2019 U10 60m (9.39) and 100m (16.15) runs, and long jump (3.61m).<\/p>\n

Kai Kim, Jason Song, Mateo Guerrero, Chris Kim, Lola Guerrero, Michelle Ryu, Cloie, Seo, Hans Xu, Tyler Hunsberger, Sang Hyun Lee, Cloie Seo, Shea Stone, and Miku Torres will be joining Paik and Kim in the finals.<\/p>\n

Anthony Gregoire, Erin Fink, Dylan Mister, Sydney Lim, Ravi Richards, Halle Steadman, Mylan Goodwin, and Taylor Steadman are the eight students from Whispering Palms.<\/p>\n

Serin Chung, Ashley Dangol, Risa Sekiguchi, Savita Sikkel, Casey, Chambers, and Irin Regan are from Brilliant Star.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
