The Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands is holding a logo design contest this month to mark its 30th anniversary.<\/p>\n
HANMI is welcoming entries for a commemorative logo designed by CNMI school students in grades 6-12. The deadline for submission is 5pm, May 26, 2015, and the winner will be announced at the Taste of the Marianas on May 30, 2015.\u00a0 Cash prizes of $300, $200, and $100 will be awarded to first, second, and third place, respectively.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re excited to involve the students in our anniversary celebration, and we look forward to seeing their ideas of what they feel HANMI contributes to and means in our community,\u201d said HANMI chair Gloria Cavanagh.<\/p>\n
The theme of the contest is, \u201cBuilding a Stronger Commonwealth with You Since 1985.\u201d The logo must contain the words \u201cHANMI\u2019 and \u201c30th Anniversary.\u201d\u00a0 Submissions may be made in any two-dimensional paper medium (i.e. ink, marker, computer-generated).\u00a0 Logos must be submitted to the Kanoa Resort Saipan front desk by the deadline and must include the student\u2019s name, teacher\u2019s name, school, and grade level.<\/p>\n

HANMI was established in 1985 as a professional forum for the hospitality industry of the NMI. Today the association is composed of 11 of the major hotels in the Northern Marianas serving a diversity of markets including Korea, Japan, China, and Russia. The association also has a growing number of associate members in related industries.
