{"id":200913,"date":"2015-05-07T04:00:07","date_gmt":"2015-05-06T18:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=200913"},"modified":"2015-05-07T04:00:07","modified_gmt":"2015-05-06T18:00:07","slug":"monthlong-dfw-program-audit-begins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/monthlong-dfw-program-audit-begins\/","title":{"rendered":"Monthlong DFW program audit begins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Land and Natural Resources met with the auditor conducting a monthlong audit of its Division of Fish and Wildlife, Wildlife and Sports Fish Restoration program yesterday, according to DLNR Secretary Richard Seman.<\/p>\n<p>The five-year audit looks at the previous two fiscal years, according to Seman. He called this monthlong audit \u201ccomprehensive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat they want to see is that you are complying with the process. That whatever you are doing within 2013 and 2014, you are doing correctly,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Seman had pointed to some issues from the previous audit in 2010\u2014for issues in 2008 and 2009\u2014that had to be taken care of. His department worked on a corrective action plan for these issues, he said. The corrective actions would deal with indirect costs that could be charged for administrative activities.<\/p>\n<p>He said the program was probably charging more than what the program agreement allowed, or put together for those two years, some $65,000.
