Pacific Islands Club Saipan kicked off its title bid in the playoff round of the Inter-Commercial Business Basketball League with an 84-62 crushing of Public School System on Tuesday night at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.<\/p>\n
Jack Aranda and Eric Dela Rosa led PIC\u2019s balanced scoring attack to clinch its 10th straight win dating back from the elimination round.<\/p>\n
Aranda and Dela Rosa scored 19 points each with Sam Rosow adding 14 more. Gutsy playmaker Sean Rabasto and Darwin Barbo combined for 16 markers.<\/p>\n
It was a close game in the first half as PSS, behind Preston Basa\u2019s hot shooting, was only down by 8, 41-33, at the turn.<\/p>\n
PIC then stepped on the gas in the third to pull away and coast to the easy win.<\/p>\n
Basa finished with a game-high 30 points with Ezra Caro the only other PSS player to end up in double digits with 10.<\/p>\n
In the second game, Lerio Pagarao scattered 25 points to power Fiesta Resort to an 81-70 decision against Joeten Enterprises.<\/p>\n
Pagarao scored 10 points in the third quarter where the second-seeded Fiesta slowly pulled away from a tight first half and foil Joeten\u2019s upset bid.<\/p>\n
Elmer Esdrelon chipped in 15 more, while Arjay Nonato tallied 13 markers.<\/p>\n
Dixon Kwon paced Joeten\u2019s losing cause with 18 points while Alex Lauron and Rocyl Ritual contributed 17 apiece.<\/p>\n
