(Contributed photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>Kanoa Resort is responsible for the road starting from the front of its hotel all the way to the Chalan Piao stoplights near Hopwood Junior High School.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur sincere appreciation to Kanoa Resort for being an adopt-a-highway member,\u201d adopt-a-highway coordinator Jack Sablan said.<\/p>\n<p>For Kanoa Resort GM Herring, it\u2019s important to take part in the community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s in line with the Tan Holdings\u2019 commitment to help the community. We want to make sure that we do our part to keep our island clean and beautiful,\u201d Herring said.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the program are expected to clean their part of the highway at least every quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Kanoa Resort is the newest member of the adopt-a-highway program, bringing the members\u2019 number to 19.<\/p>\n<p>However, the two-year contracts of many members are going to expire soon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost of [the members\u2019] expiration dates are coming up.
