We realize that the future success of the CNMI rests on today\u2019s youth, who will eventually lead our businesses, our economy, our community, and our future.<\/p>\n<p>The Chamber also recognizes that the cost of postsecondary education is high. It is for this reason that the Saipan Chamber of Commerce continues the tradition of Educational Scholarship Fund. On June 3, 2015, we will award six $2,000 scholarships to deserving applicants.<\/p>\n<p>The Saipan Chamber of Commerce Educational Scholarship Fund provides one-time monetary awards in the following categories:<\/p>\n<p><strong>High school senior applicants <\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Completed application form<br \/>\n\u2022 CNMI-accredited high school transcript with a minimum GPA of 3.5<br \/>\n\u2022 Copy of SAT or ACT results<br \/>\n\u2022 Summary of extra-curricular activities &#038; examples of leadership within the community<br \/>\n\u2022 Two letters of recommendation, at least one of whom is from an educator or business employer\/mentor<br \/>\n\u2022 Copies of any college, university, or vocational school acceptance letters<br \/>\n\u2022 Essay of no more than 1,000 words: \u201cHow I Will Change My Community\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>College student applicants <\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Completed application form<br \/>\n\u2022 Official college transcript with a minimum GPA of 3.5<br \/>\n\u2022 Two letters of recommendation, at least one of whom is from an educator or business employer\/mentor<br \/>\n\u2022 Copy of class schedule for semester\/quarter that you will be enrolled<br \/>\n\u2022 Proof of CNMI residency (such as CNMI voter\u2019s registration card)<br \/>\n\u2022 Essay of no more than 1,000 words: \u201cFrom the viewpoint of my chosen field of study, this is what I perceive as the No.1 issue that needs to be addressed for the CNMI.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pellegrino vocational applicants <\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Completed application form<br \/>\n\u2022 Summary of volunteer activities and examples of leadership within the community<br \/>\n\u2022 Two letters of recommendation, at least one of whom is from an educator or business employer\/mentor<br \/>\n\u2022 Copies of vocational school acceptance letters<br \/>\n\u2022 Copy of course schedule and any completed courses<br \/>\n\u2022 Essay of no more than 1,000 words: \u201cHow I Will Change My Community\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Complete scholarship application packets (together with all required documents) must be submitted to the Saipan Chamber of Commerce office, located on the third floor of the Marianas Business Plaza in Susupe, no later than 5pm, Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Some applicants may be asked to attend a personal interview or teleconference as part of the selection process.
