(Contributed Photo)

Tomorrow, you can end those cravings as the coffee and pastry shop is opening up again. Moving from their old location on Middle Road to the front corner of Paradise Hotel, they are now a deli-style café.

“Instead of a drive-thru, we’re doing a sit-down, full-service café that will also serve lunches,” owner/manager and head chef Sarah Fryling said.

Aside from the old favorites of rolls, muffins, scones, and pies, old and new customers will now also get to sample a variety of lunch options of soups, salads, and sandwiches.

Just some of what customers can expect are Greek pasta salad, lentil salad, chicken salad and sandwich, veggie sandwich, tomato-based Manhattan clam chowder, cream of tomato soup, and potato cheddar soup.

“For breakfast and lunch on the go, this will be a perfect thing. I’m also encouraging customers to stay. I have free WiFi, I’ve repainted, put up some artwork. I’m trying to make this a very comfortable and inviting atmosphere,” Fryling said.

On the coffee side of things, Java Bakery will introduce their espresso coffees soon—something that they couldn’t offer at the drive-thru location before.

According to Fryling, their machine will be arriving in two weeks and they will be introducing more coffee choices such as espresso macchiato and espresso shots. The coffees will still use creamers that they also create on their own.

Creamer aside, all of their food and beverages are made fresh on-location everyday because, according to Fryling, the most important thing is the quality of the food and drinks that they serve.

“Most of my menu items I bake because I love the quality of baking. I don’t like to compromise on my ingredients. I use butter, I don’t use margarine. I use sugar, I don’t use substitutes. I use whole ingredients,” she said.

Though not as convenient as a drive-thru, Fryling hopes to get a lot more customers at their new spot.

“I’m hoping to keep a lot of my customers from the drive thru. I have a lot of people who are addicted to the cinnamon rolls or to a certain kind of coffee. I’m hoping to keep most of those customers. I know I’m not as convenient but I’m still going to be quick. But I’m really hoping to develop a lunch crowd,” she added.

Java Bakery will be open from 7am-5pm on Mondays through Saturdays starting tomorrow.

“Everybody and anybody are invited. I will be offering free mini cinnamon rolls and mini scones per customer,” Fryling said.

[4
42,4598,2758,4599
post-201723","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news","tag-food","tag-java-bakery","tag-paradise-hotel","tag-sarah-fryling
["GET
