(Contributed Photo)<br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Roybert\u2019s artwork, titled, \u201cAll in One Guam,\u201d was selected as the top entry by a panel of local artists. His art piece will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol Complex. He will also attend a reception on June 24, 2015, at the Capitol Visitor Center Auditorium and Atrium in Washington, D.C., courtesy of United Airlines.<\/p>\n<p>The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide high school art competition sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. This year\u2019s competition was open to all Guam high schools and featured 30 entries by students from Father Duenas Memorial School, George Washington High School, John F. Kennedy High School, St. John\u2019s School, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School, Okkodo High School, Southern High School, and Simon Sanchez High School.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI congratulate Roybert, his parents and his art instructor, Ron Canos on the selection of his artwork. I commend our aisland\u2019s high school students and art instructors for their participation in this year\u2019s Congressional Art Competition. I look forward to hosting him in Washington, D.C. and wish him the best of luck in the national competition,\u201d said Bordallo. \u201cRoybert\u2019s artwork entitled \u2018All in One Guam\u2019 is a beautiful and thoughtful piece that showcases many historical landmarks throughout Guam.
