Chan)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>The ceremony awarded the school\u2019s Kindergarten to fifth grade students with certificates, medals, or trophies for skills they\u2019ve improved in or bested at in the school year.<\/p>\n<p>School principal Milagros Songcuan recognized her student\u2019s achievements in her opening remarks and highlighted their mission \u201cto plant for eternity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> \u201cIf you plant for today, plant a flower. If you plant for years to come, plant trees [but] if you plant for eternity, plant people,\u201d she said, referring to her students.<\/p>\n<p>Tan Holdings senior vice president Eli Arago, who was the inspirational speaker yesterday, echoed Songcuan when he emphasized the \u201cseeds of knowledge that will ignite desire to discover more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This will lead to the pursuit to succeed in life, he told the students.<\/p>\n<p>Arago reminded students that he and their parents had much harder obstacles while growing up in the Philippines.
