{"id":202141,"date":"2015-05-20T04:00:36","date_gmt":"2015-05-19T18:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=202141"},"modified":"2015-05-20T04:00:36","modified_gmt":"2015-05-19T18:00:36","slug":"suspected-ice-trafficker-surrenders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/suspected-ice-trafficker-surrenders\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspected \u2018ice\u2019 trafficker surrenders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Suspected methamphetamine trafficker Joshua Sablan Diaz surrendered to police yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Acting Department of Public Safety spokesman Jason Tarkong said the 30-year-old Diaz was booked and detained at the Department of Corrections on charges of trafficking of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.<\/p>\n<p>DPS sought the public\u2019s assistance last week in finding Diaz after several attempts to serve him with an arrest warrant failed.<\/p>\n<p>Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho imposed a $100,000 cash bail.<\/p>\n<p>Tarkong said Diaz\u2019s father contacted him at 9am yesterday, requesting for assistance in coordinating the suspect\u2019s surrender to authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Tarkong said he coordinated the surrender with Commonwealth Bureau of Investigation commander Jeffrey Olopai, deputy commander Jesse Seman, and the DPS narcotics unit.<\/p>\n<p>He said Diaz surrendered to police detectives Peter Camacho and Jeffrey Norita at the CBI office in Susupe. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Suspected methamphetamine trafficker Joshua Sablan Diaz surrendered to police yesterday.
