{"id":202504,"date":"2015-05-25T06:00:48","date_gmt":"2015-05-24T20:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=202504"},"modified":"2015-05-25T06:00:48","modified_gmt":"2015-05-24T20:00:48","slug":"guam-guard-soldier-in-plea-deal-for-g-rap-fraud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/guam-guard-soldier-in-plea-deal-for-g-rap-fraud\/","title":{"rendered":"Guam Guard soldier in plea deal for G-RAP fraud"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Guam National Guard is disappointed by the latest indictment and plea deal of a soldier for possible fraudulent actions in regards to the Guard\u2019s Recruiting Assistance Program, also known as G-RAP.<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned previously, the Guam National Guard is committed to correcting any problems identified by the Army Audit Agency and CID investigations of the G-RAP Program. We are working closely with civil authorities to identify and rectify situations where fraud was committed, and to discipline those who were negligent in their duties. As with all alleged criminal acts, we take this issue very seriously and are cooperating fully.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough indictments have come down and others are forthcoming, we should not forget that there are more than 1,600 soldiers and Airmen of the Guam National Guard that continue to serve honorably and are doing great things for our island,\u201d said Brig.
