Deleon Guerrero said yesterday that DPS continues to investigate the Luhk sisters\u2019 disappearance.<br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_202515\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-202515\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a attid=\"202515\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Meleina-small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Meleina-small-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"Meleina Luhk\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-202515\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-202515\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Meleina Luhk<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_202516\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-202516\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a attid=\"202516\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Faloma-Luhk-small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Faloma-Luhk-small-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"Faloma Luhk\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-202516\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-202516\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Faloma Luhk<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWhile the case has gone cold over the years, we are constantly reminding ourselves that someone, somewhere out there knows of what happened to them,\u201d Deleon Guerrero said.<\/p>\n<p>He said they are appealing to anyone with information regarding the sisters\u2019 disappearance to have the courage to come forward and share it with the authorities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith every passing day that information is withheld is another day of agony for the Luhk sisters and their family or both,\u201d the commissioner said.<\/p>\n<p>Saipan Tribune repeatedly contacted yesterday afternoon Elbert Quitugua, the grandfather of the Luhk sisters, but no one answered their phone.<\/p>\n<p>Every year in the past three years, the families of the Luhk sisters had offered a special Mass at Santa Soledad Church in Kagman during the same day, May 25, when the sisters were last seen.<\/p>\n<p>Last October, the Federal Bureau of Investigation released computer-generated age progression images of how the sisters would possibly look then, three years after their disappearance.<\/p>\n<p>Then-10-year-old Faloma and 9-year-old Maleina Luhk were last seen on May 25, 2011, near a bus stop pavilion in As Teo.<\/p>\n<p>Their disappearance triggered the most extensive searches of persons in CNMI history, with FBI agents and DPS officers combing a landfill, caves, jungles, villages, abandoned buildings, and other areas on Saipan for several months.<\/p>\n<p>Many civilians also volunteered their time for the searches.
