Baisley as its newest Assistant Attorney General. (OAG)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Attorney General Edward Manibusan states, \u201con behalf of the entire office, I welcome Matthew to the team.\u201d \u201cHis knowledge and expertise in the legal field will definitely be a benefit to the Commonwealth. I wish him the best in his career at the OAG,\u201d states the AG.<\/p>\n<p>As a White Collar Crime and Public Corruption AAG, Baisley will work in conjunction with the Office of the Public Auditor and the Department of Public Safety as a joint multi-agency task force member. On Tuesday, June 2, a Memorandum of Agreement between the OAG, OPA, and DPS was executed by Manibusan, Public Auditor Mike Pai, and DPS Commissioner James Deleon Guerrero. Present at Tuesday&#8217;s meeting were: Manibusan, Deputy Attorney General Lillian A. Tenorio, Pai, Deleon Guerrero, and Baisley.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cI am very excited to begin work for a dedicated attorney general like Attorney General Manibusan, and I will strive to be a valuable member of the team at the OAG,\u201d said Baisley.<\/p>\n<p>Deleon Guerrero added, \u201cI welcome the new prosecutor on board. DPS looks forward to working closely with Mr. Baisley and with the Attorney General\u2019s Office and the Office of the Public Auditor in the investigation and prosecution of white collar crimes and public corruption.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI second the remarks of the attorney general and the Department of Public Safety commissioner in welcoming Mr. Baisley to Saipan and the legal team. We at the Office of the Public Auditor look forward to working with Mr. Baisley and ongoing cooperation and success with the Office of the Attorney General and the Department of Public Safety,\u201d said Pai.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining the OAG, Baisley worked as a litigation associate for Baker Hostetler, LLP, in Denver Colorado.<\/p>\n<p>He represented large national corporations and obtained numerous favorable results for firm clients. Baisley\u2019s past work as an associate for law firms in the Denver, Colorado area as well as in Chicago, Illinois was dedicated to providing comprehensive legal representation to large corporations and clients involved in multimillion dollar lawsuits.
