{"id":203463,"date":"2015-06-04T16:11:10","date_gmt":"2015-06-04T06:11:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=203463"},"modified":"2015-06-04T16:11:10","modified_gmt":"2015-06-04T06:11:10","slug":"treasurys-fincen-fines-tinian-dynasty-75m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/treasurys-fincen-fines-tinian-dynasty-75m\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING NEWS: Treasury\u2019s FinCEN fines Tinian Dynasty $75M"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has assessed a civil penalty in the amount of $75 million against the owner of Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino for \u201cwillful and egregious violations\u201d of the Bank Secrecy Act.<\/p>\n<p>FinCen Director Jennifer Shasky Calvery determined that Hong Kong Entertainment (Overseas) Investments Ltd., owner of Tinian Dynasty, failed to develop and implement an anti-money laundering program to ensure ongoing compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act.<\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong Entertainment is facing criminal charges on the same issue.
