{"id":203526,"date":"2015-06-05T06:00:40","date_gmt":"2015-06-04T20:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=203526"},"modified":"2015-06-05T06:00:40","modified_gmt":"2015-06-04T20:00:40","slug":"run-for-nepal-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/run-for-nepal-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Run for Nepal\u2019 tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Nepalese Community of Saipan, in partnership with the Saipan Young Professionals Committee of the Saipan Chamber of Commerce, will be holding a \u201crun for a cause\u201d fundraising event tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRun For Nepal\u201d is a 5K run from the Garapan Public Market (Garapan Fishing Base across Kristo Rai Church) to the former Hakubotan building in San Jose and back. A $10 registration fee is required to join the event.<\/p>\n<p>Community members, students, and families are encouraged to join as the funds from the event will go directly to the survivors of the recent Nepal earthquake, through the Nepalese community of Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a very worthy cause that we are proud to stand behind,\u201d says SYP chair Mable Ayuyu and co-chair Bobby Cruz.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the run, a moment of silence will be observed to honor those who perished and who are still suffering because of the devastating earthquakes in Nepal.<\/p>\n<p>Registration forms are available at Java Joe\u2019s in Dandan.
