{"id":204115,"date":"2015-06-12T06:06:42","date_gmt":"2015-06-11T20:06:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=204115"},"modified":"2015-06-12T06:06:42","modified_gmt":"2015-06-11T20:06:42","slug":"judge-oks-69k-compensation-expenses-for-trustee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/judge-oks-69k-compensation-expenses-for-trustee\/","title":{"rendered":"Judge OKs $69K compensation, expenses for Trustee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. District Court for the NMI designated judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood has found as reasonable the request for compensation and reimbursement of expenses in the amount of $69,806.10 filed by Settlement Fund Trustee Joyce C.H. Tang incurred for a six-month period.<\/p>\n<p>Tydingco-Gatewood in an order issued on Wednesday directed the Settlement Fund to pay Tang $63,286.10, which represents 90 percent of the professional fees and 100 percent of all expenses incurred during the months of November 2014 through April 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The judge further ordered the Settlement Fund to hold in trust to the credit of Trustee Tang the sum of $6,520, which represents 10 percent of the Trustee\u2019s professional fees for this time period.<\/p>\n<p>Tydingco-Gatewood said Tang may petition for release of the 10 percent retainage on a quarterly basis, subject to the court\u2019s satisfaction of the Trustee\u2019s work and any objections to the Trustee\u2019s compensation requests.<\/p>\n<p>Tang requested for compensation in the amounts of $7,248.31 in professional services and expenses for November 2014; $11,856.86 for December 2014; $11,122 for January 2015; $7,401.43 for February 2015; $20,211.02 for March 2015; and $11,966.48 for April 2015, or for a total of $69,806.10.<\/p>\n<p>Tydingco-Gatewood said the court is satisfied with the work performed by the Trustee during this six-month period.<\/p>\n<p>Last December, the judge approved Tang\u2019s request for compensation and reimbursement of expenses in the amount of $132,594.34 for a five-month period or for the months of June to October 2014.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. District Court for the NMI designated judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood has found as reasonable the&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":23,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[900],"tags":[93,1562,733,5358],"class_list":["post-204115","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-featured","tag-district-court","tag-last-december","tag-settlement-fund","tag-trustee-tang"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/204115","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/23"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=204115"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/204115\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=204115"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=204115"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=204115"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
