Police are investigating the death of a 29-year-old Chinese man who was found Friday morning on the terrace area of the second floor of the 18-story Grandvrio Resort, which was formerly called Hafadai Beach Hotel on Saipan.<\/p>\n
Department of Public Safety acting spokesman Jason Tarkong said the investigation is ongoing and that further information will be released when available.<\/p>\n
Tarkong said on Friday at 6:26am, police responded to Grandvrio Resort after receiving report about a possible dead person.<\/p>\n
Tarkong said upon arrival, police met with witnesses and hotel\u2019s staff who came across the victim, who was found on the terrace area of the second floor.<\/p>\n
The victim had no pulse and was not breathing when police came.<\/p>\n
Tarkong said police learned the victim\u2019s name, but his name will not be released pending notification of the next of kin.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt this point of time, DPS Commonwealth Bureau of Investigation is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the victim,\u201d Tarkong said.<\/p>\n
The victim was transported to the Commonwealth Health Center, where he was pronounced dead by Dr. Jeremy Seelinger at 8:43am.<\/p>\n
