(Contributed Photo)\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>A Dandan middle school student\u2019s pork, tofu, and beans with brown rice meal will make it on their lunch menu next year after topping 63 other meals in a healthy meal contest.<\/p>\n<p>Sixth grader Wilshae Monsalud was the winner. His meal also included orange for his fruit option and yogurt for dessert.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy class did a school project on the five major food groups in which they created their healthy meals,\u201d said health and physical education teacher Joe Villacrusis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll of these students were taught the importance of having all the five major food groups (grains, vegetables, fruits, protein, and dairy) based on MyPlate.gov,\u201d or the national guidelines for healthy meal portions and ingredients, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the meals prepared by the students were healthy suggestions.
