The Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. received a cash donation of $10,100 from an anonymous resident, according to CHCC chief executive officer Esther Muna yesterday.<\/p>\n

Muna said that they received the donation from a resident who wanted to remain \u201canonymous.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe donor wanted the gift to go to the hospital\u2019s needs. Plans on how the donation will be utilized have not been finalized.\u201d Muna said.<\/p>\n

The cash-strapped hospital received the cash donation and Muna said they\u2019re happy to receive it. She said the $10,100 donation would help on several hospital needs, which could possibly be used for more beds or other hospital amenities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe hospital leadership and I are deliberating on a project or item that will render the best treatment options and better health outcomes for our hospital patients,\u201d Muna said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a big deal for the Commonwealth Health Center and we cannot express enough how grateful we are for the donor\u2019s generosity. Thoughtful gifts of all sizes help the corporation and the hospital continue to improve healthcare in the CNMI,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

In related news, CHCC\u2019s business plan is being reviewed before any submissions to lawmakers and other related entities.<\/p>\n

In order to meet lawmakers\u2019 expectations and increase the standard of hospital care, the CHCC worked on identifying different revenue streams that will be outlined in a business plan in order for CHCC to address its costs.<\/p>\n
