Ada International Airport on Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>Delegate Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan (Ind-MP), in his weekly e-newsletter, said four of the grants will for the airport improvement project.<\/p>\n<p>The first grant of $1.06 million will fund the seventh and final phase of construction for a regional Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Training Facility.<\/p>\n<p>The second grant worth $1 million will fund the construction phase for rehabilitation of 725 feet of the existing Taxiway B and 550 feet of the existing Taxiway H needed to maintain structural integrity of the pavement.<\/p>\n<p>The third grant of $700,000 will be used for the acquisition of a replacement Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting vehicle, and the fourth grant of $697,110 will fund the final phase of the improvement to the terminal building that are needed to improve passenger safety.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sablan\u2019s newsletter, the fifth grant, worth $420,000 will fund an update to the existing airport master plan study to show current and future needs of the Tinian International Airport.Early this month,\u00a0three grants totaling $1.4 million were also awarded to the CPA.<\/p>\n<p>One award of $420,000 will fund an update to the existing airport master plan to show current and future needs of the Benjamin Taisacan Manglona International Airport on Rota.
