Apatang doesn\u2019t want to hold back the parade any longer and it will happen on Saturday. For the storm approaching we\u2019re hoping it doesn\u2019t come here, the winds don\u2019t pick up and conditions are good then it will happen,\u201d Hofschneider said.<\/p>\n<p>If the storm approaches the CNMI, Hofschneider says that they have an alternative date, which is July 18.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs of today we\u2019re mobilizing other materials in preparation for setting up the new canopies. We\u2019re monitoring the storm and if CNMI Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services advises us not to go forward with the parade on Saturday, the alternative is July 18,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Skywalker Communications Group public relations manager Kiki Chen said that carnival grounds is eyed for opening this Thursday, July 9.<\/p>\n<p>Chen says that as of now preparations are already mobilizing for the carnival grounds.
