(JAYSON CAMACHO)<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\n\u201cI am so happy and excited. \u2026Now I can pay my bills, send some to my sick sister, and pay my daughter\u2019s tuition,\u201d said Kim, who owns the Makeover Beauty Salon at the Sun Palace Hotel in Susupe.<\/p>\n<p>She said she purchased only $10 worth of tickets (two booklets).<\/p>\n<p>The second place winner got $5,000, while the third place winner got $3,000. Organizers withheld the names of the other Top 3 winners.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from the raffle ticket winners, the float competition winners were also presented with their checks.<\/p>\n<p>The Yapaese community won $4,000 for finishing first place in the float competition.<\/p>\n<p>Dionisia Pialur Ythemar, representing the Yapese community, spoke in Chamorro and told Saipan Tribune that they were happy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was hard work, we kept redoing the float for almost three weeks and every night they kept practicing their dancing,\u201d Ythemar said.<\/p>\n<p>Papago Lancherus won second place and was given a check for $3,000. Herman Santos, 57, who spoke on behalf of the Lancherus, said their goal was to promote local produce and the agricultural side of the islands.<\/p>\n<p>Choll A Bellu won third place and representatives took home $2,000 in cash prize, while the United Filipino Organization took $1,000 as fourth place winners.<\/p>\n<p>Saipan Mayor David M.
