{"id":206425,"date":"2015-07-29T04:00:02","date_gmt":"2015-07-28T18:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=206425"},"modified":"2015-07-29T04:00:02","modified_gmt":"2015-07-28T18:00:02","slug":"dpw-rota-gets-new-vehicles-as-infra-projects-continue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/dpw-rota-gets-new-vehicles-as-infra-projects-continue\/","title":{"rendered":"DPW Rota gets new vehicles as infra projects continue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lawmakers from Rota lauded the efforts of the head of the Department of Public Works on securing new equipment, including two brand new pickup trucks, to be used for infrastructure projects on the island.<\/p>\n<p>DPW Secretary James Ada showed the vehicles to lawmakers at Capital Hill on Tuesday. The vehicles will be assigned to DPW offices on Rota.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTinian will also get equipment and new vehicles as well,\u201d Ada said, adding that funding for the two vehicles\u2014a total of $77,000\u2014came from the department\u2019s solid waste \u201crevolving\u201d fund.<\/p>\n<p>Senate President Victor B. Hocog (Ind-Rota) said this is the \u201cfirst time\u201d that DPW Rota will get new vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe appreciate the efforts of the DPW secretary. These vehicles will help get their projects going,\u201d Hocog said.<\/p>\n<p>Sen.
