{"id":206988,"date":"2015-08-05T14:51:43","date_gmt":"2015-08-05T04:51:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=206988"},"modified":"2015-08-05T14:51:43","modified_gmt":"2015-08-05T04:51:43","slug":"bank-of-guam-comes-to-aid-of-typhoon-victims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/bank-of-guam-comes-to-aid-of-typhoon-victims\/","title":{"rendered":"Bank of Guam comes to aid of typhoon victims"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bank of Guam has established an account for contributions to help the Saipan and Tinian communities that have been devastated by Typhoon Soudelor.<\/p>\n<p>The bank\u2019s Tinian branch resumed normal operating hours yesterday, while the Garapan Branch will be operating with limited hours between 10am and 3pm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are saddened to learn of the devastation to our family and friends in Saipan and Tinian, and send our support for a speedy recovery,\u201d said Lou A. Leon Guerrero, Bank of Guam president, chief executive officer and board chair. \u201cIn addition to establishing an account to accept financial contributions to send to the islands, we are providing direct assistance to all of our Bank of Guam employees in those branches.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Contributions may be made at all Bank of Guam branches, with the notation that the funds should go to the \u201cSoudelor Aid\u201d account.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Bank of Guam is offering a 90-day loan payment deferment to affected individuals whose loans are in good standing.<\/p>\n<p>Bank of Guam, with assets over $1.4billion, is in its 43rd year with 23 branches throughout Guam and western Micronesia.
