{"id":20772,"date":"2012-06-01T02:46:10","date_gmt":"2012-06-01T02:46:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newspaper.ctsi-logistics.com\/?p=20772"},"modified":"2012-06-01T02:46:10","modified_gmt":"2012-06-01T02:46:10","slug":"us-army-reserves-troop-store-burglarized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/us-army-reserves-troop-store-burglarized\/","title":{"rendered":"US Army Reserve&#8217;s troop store burglarized"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Surveillance camera catches burglar breaking into troop store&#8217;s storage room<\/div>\n<div>By Ferdie de la Torre<br \/>\nReporter<\/div>\n<p>The U.S. Army Reserve Center&#8217;s troop store in Puerto Rico, Saipan was burglarized on Wednesday and the suspect was caught on surveillance camera.<\/p>\n<p>Police spokesman Jason Tarkong said yesterday that the items stolen were a 32-inch Panasonic LCD flat screen TV, HP 201 monitors, and Bose portable music systems, all estimated to be worth over $1,500.<\/p>\n<p>Tarkong said the suspect is described as a light skinned male, about 5&#8217;7\u201d to 5&#8217;10\u201d tall, 170 to 180 lbs in weight, and with a mustache and goatee.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe suspect is believed to be somewhere in his mid-20&#8217;s to early 30&#8217;s in age, has short dark hair, wearing a white or gray long-sleeved hoodie, with camouflage short pants,\u201d the officer said.<\/p>\n<p>Tarkong said the police were informed about the break-in on Wednesday at 9:10am.<\/p>\n<p>Police investigation showed that at 4am that day, the suspect used a bolt cutter to cut a padlock on a shipping container used as a storage room for the troop store.<\/p>\n<p>The NMI Crime Stoppers Program is seeking the public&#8217;s help for information on the incident and the suspect, said Tarkong, who is also coordinator for the Crime Stoppers Program.<\/p>\n<p>Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000 for any information leading to an arrest.<\/p>\n<p>The 1,120-square-foot troop store was built in 1987.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Surveillance camera catches burglar breaking into troop store&#8217;s storage room By Ferdie de la Torre&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-20772","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/20772","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=20772"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/20772\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=20772"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=20772"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=20772"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
