Villanueva)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s doing what we\u2019re very good at doing, which is basically a night of great entertainment and fun. \u2026[That] is what Club C is all about,\u201d said Ben Lee, chief executive officer of Strategic Gaming Solutions, Inc.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the Legislature, government agencies, Saipan Chamber of Commerce officers and members, and various companies were present.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was very, very good. They all enjoyed themselves,\u201d Club C general manager Peter Stewein said.<\/p>\n<p>Stewein said they wanted to show their gratitude to the people who has been with them before and after they opened. \u201cIt\u2019s nice to let people know you\u2019ve been around for a year but it\u2019s also a thank you,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first is always difficult,\u201d Stewein said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first year we had our challenges as with any in business,\u201d Lee said.<\/p>\n<p>For the coming year for Club C, Lee said they still expect to stay in business despite the stiffer competition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe expect to be impacted by the coming competition,\u201d Lee said. \u201cHowever, we are also confident that we can weather the competition and we expect that we will still be here when others come and go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lee believes what they have is a sustainable business model, which can survive whether or not the market is very good.<\/p>\n<p>However, Lee also added that they are holding off some of their future investment such as Club C 2 and Club C 3, as what \u201cany wise and reasonable businessmen will.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe playing field conditions appear to change all the time, which does not make for a very conducive and healthy investment,\u201d Lee said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn light of the investment criteria and the operating criteria changing, the investment decision is not looking as certain, not looking as black and white as it was when we first opened,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, Lee said they will still continue with present investments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll definitely continue Club C,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Club C celebrated its first anniversary last Wednesday night with a cocktail party for its&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":51,"featured_media":208641,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[6073,56,223,67],"class_list":["post-208635","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news","tag-ben-lee","tag-business-3","tag-party","tag-people"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/208635","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/51"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=208635"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/208635\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/208641"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=208635"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=208635"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=208635"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
