The Commonwealth Casino Commission sees no issue in allowing smoking inside a temporary casino that will soon rise at the T Galleria in Saipan.<\/p>\n
Commission executive director Edward Deleon Guerrero, said from his understanding, \u201cthe law allows it\u201d and it is \u201clegal.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is a current law banning smoking in public facilities puts an exemption for casinos,\u201d Deleon Guerrero said.<\/p>\n
Guerrero acknowledged that there are some concerns \u201cfrom some people\u201d regarding the anti-smoking law.<\/p>\n
Saipan Tribune has received feedback from workers in nearby establishments expressing concerns on smoking inside the casino, considering the casino is open 24×7.<\/p>\n
But Deleon Guerrero said the exemption is there. \u201cSo if you are to ban it (smoking in gaming establishments), then you are violating the law. At the end of the day, the law allows smoking inside the casino.\u201d<\/p>\n
Updates<\/strong><\/p>\n Deleon Guerrero said Best Sunshine International, Ltd. is continuing its training activities.<\/p>\n He said the third floor of the Bank of Guam is now being used by BSI for \u201cfood and beverage orientation,\u201d while the fourth floor continues to be a gaming training facility.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are a bunch of gaming machines, and a lot of trainees,\u201d Deleon Guerrero said, adding that security training is also being held.<\/p>\n Speaking of gaming machines, the commission has now issued eight provisional licenses.
