{"id":208802,"date":"2015-08-21T06:00:35","date_gmt":"2015-08-20T20:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=208802"},"modified":"2015-08-21T06:00:35","modified_gmt":"2015-08-20T20:00:35","slug":"lions-club-intl-to-distribute-relief-goods-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/lions-club-intl-to-distribute-relief-goods-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"Lions Club Int\u2019l to distribute relief goods tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Lions Club International District 204 will be distributing relief goods tomorrow at the parking lot of the Saipan Mayor\u2019s Office starting at 10pm.<\/p>\n<p>The Saipan Lions Clubs are composed of the Saipan Fil-American Lions Club, Saipan Marianas Lions Club, and Saipan Unity Lions Club.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from presidents Annamae Adaza, Olivia Yana, and Atoy Banting, the distribution will also be headed by Lions Club delegates from Guam including district governor Daniel Yang, 2nd vice district governor Art Navarro, past district governor Goring Duenas, PDG Herbie Perez, and cabinet secretary Zenaida Cachila.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will distribute different kinds of goods such as bottled water, diapers, luncheon meat, noodles, rice, toilet tissues, crackers, tuna chunk, batteries, flashlights, blankets, baby wipes, gums, and towels, among others,\u201d region 2 chair Ladyvir Canape said.<\/p>\n<p>The relief items are worth over $20,000 from Lions Club International Foundation and different Lions Clubs from Region 1.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. How we wish we can really give to everybody,\u201d said Canape.<\/p>\n<p>She added that they will extend their help to the ones who need it the most.<\/p>\n<p>The Lions Club also gave out initial care packages a week ago to nine shelters that were opened around the island.<\/p>\n<p>As one of the world\u2019s largest organization, Lions Clubs always create projects that are beneficial to the community, with their motto \u201cWe Serve.\u201d Lions Clubs International extends the mission of service every day in local communities, in all corners of the globe.
