{"id":209182,"date":"2015-08-27T06:06:42","date_gmt":"2015-08-26T20:06:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=209182"},"modified":"2015-08-27T06:06:42","modified_gmt":"2015-08-26T20:06:42","slug":"scholarship-application-deadline-on-oct-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/scholarship-application-deadline-on-oct-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Scholarship application deadline on\u00a0Oct. 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Application forms are now available for the Businesswoman of the Year Scholarship for the fall 2015 semester.\u00a0The deadline to apply is\u00a0Friday, Oct. 2, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The program, which is sponsored by First Hawaiian Bank and Guam Business Magazine, provides student scholarships at three higher education institutions in the Marianas: University of Guam, Guam Community College, and the Northern Marianas College. Recent graduates from Guam\u2019s and the CNMI\u2019s high schools who are enrolling in the islands\u2019 tertiary institutions are invited to apply as well.<\/p>\n<p>The scholarships are intended to promote higher education by providing financial assistance for college students in their pursuit of professional careers, and are open to both full-time and part-time students. The scholarships will be awarded based on merit, eligibility, a written essay, and financial need.<\/p>\n<p>Application forms may be picked up at the financial aid offices of UOG, GCC, and NMC, at the First Hawaiian Bank branches, and the Glimpses of Guam office.
