Rota Mayor Efraim Atalig has once again contributed to relief efforts on Saipan, handing to Saipan Mayor David M. Apatang non-perishable items for distribution.<\/p>\n
Atalig delivered the donations to Apatang\u2019s office last Friday.<\/p>\n
Saipan Mayor\u2019s Office special assistant Henry Hofschneider said that they will be seeking the help of organizations such as the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter or other groups willing to distribute the donations to the community.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re going to call up organizations like Red Cross or any organization that can work with us to make sure that all the families that need it the most so that it could be distributed and also if the organization have clear mission to give it out to the community,\u201d Hofschneider said.<\/p>\n
Atalig said that during Typhoon Dolphin, the mayor of Saipan, along with the municipal councils and the Tinian and Northern Island mayors, teamed up to hold a Typhoon Dolphin Relief 4-Rota drive.<\/p>\n
Apatang also personally gave monetary and food donations to Atalig after the Typhoon Dolphin relief drive.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring our time of need, community members on Saipan came and helped us. Now, it is our turn to help the community of Saipan in their time of need,\u201d Atalig said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe donations we received plainly showed that we have each other\u2019s back. The donations will certainly help out residents of Saipan who need some assistance,\u201d Apatang said.<\/p>\n
Apatang and Atalig also thanked the Saipan Young Professionals, Napalese community, G4S, Java Joe\u2019s, Kano Resort, City Trust Bank, Bridge Capital, Chong Int.
