Expect hazardous surf of 7 to 9 feet along north facing reefs falling below hazardous levels by early this morning. The public to advised avoid venturing near exposed reefs and beaches, especially those facing north, as rip currents will be life threatening. (EOC)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saipan chamber membership meeting on Wednesday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will be having its general membership meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 11:30am at the Royal Taga Hall of the Saipan World Resort.\u00a0 The main speakers will be Delegate Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan; Stephen DeBlasio, FEMA, Federal coordinating officer; and William Koontz, U.S. Small Business Administration, public information officer. Guests are welcome at the non-member price of $30; members pay $20.\u00a0 (PR)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kagman Elementary School calendar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Sept, 9, 2015: Parent\/student orientation for grades K-2nd at 9am to 10am<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Sept. 10, 2015: Parent \/student orientation for grades 3rd-5th at 9am to 10am<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Sept. 14, 2015: First day of instruction for all students (K-5th), from 7:50am to 11:30am<\/p>\n<p>During the parent and student orientation day, teachers will be present to meet with parents and share instructional goals and expectations for the school year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CNMI Judiciary operations schedule <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Business hours for the CNMI Judiciary on Saipan for today, Aug. 31, 2015 and Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, will be 8am to 5pm.<\/p>\n<p>Business hours for the CNMI Judiciary on Saipan for Wednesday, September 2, 2015 through Friday, September 4, 2015 will be 8am until 12pm.<\/p>\n<p>Changes to this schedule, and the Judiciary\u2019s schedule for the week beginning Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2015, following the Labor Day holiday, will be disseminated on the Judiciary\u2019s website, www.justice.gov.mp, and through other media.<\/p>\n<p>On Rota and Tinian, business hours will be 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday, Aug. 31, 2015 through Friday, Sept. 4, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The partial day operations on Saipan are expected to continue until issues associated with fuel availability for standby power generation are resolved.
