Three separate fires in six days engulfed two establishments and one house on Saipan.<\/p>\n
Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services spokesman Derek Gersonde said yesterday that no one was injured or treated at the scenes for medical complaints in all those incidents.<\/p>\n
Gersonde said the Arson Investigation Unit is still investigating the cause of the fires.<\/p>\n
He said the first one happened at Hawaiian Rock on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
He said DFEMS received a call about the fire at 5:46pm and fire trucks from Susupe, Koblerville, and Kagman responded to the scene. A water tanker from the Commonwealth Ports Authority\u2019s Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting assisted in providing water to the fire engines.<\/p>\n
Gersonde said the fire originated from a container used for melting tar.<\/p>\n
Firefighters extinguished the blaze in the container.<\/p>\n
The second fire occurred Saturday at a one-story house in San Antonio.<\/p>\n
Gersonde said DFEMS received the call about the fire Saturday at 9:26pm and fire trucks from Susupe, Koblerville, and Kagman responded and controlled the blaze at 12:20am, Sunday.<\/p>\n
Gersonde said investigators determined that the fire started at the southeastern side of the house.<\/p>\n
The third fire happened in western Garapan on Sunday.<\/p>\n
DFEMS received the call about the fire at the Hanamitsu Wedding Studio at the Paseo de Marianas on Sunday at 12:03am.<\/p>\n
Fire trucks from Susupe, Koblerville, Garapan, and Kagman responded and controlled the blaze at 12:20am.<\/p>\n
Gersonde said investigators determined that the fire originated from the stairway located on the western side of Hanamitsu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
