Karidat continues to receive donations from various organizations and businesses.<\/p>\n

This week, Western Sales Trading Co. donated $10,000 to Karidat at their office in Chalan Piao.<\/p>\n

Karidat executive director Lauri Ogumoro said they appreciate the help.

\n\u201cIt is very touching that they thought of us and we\u2019re very thankful and we\u2019ll use it for those in need,\u201d Ogumoro said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been already a month and a lot of people still don\u2019t have power and water,\u201d said Western Sales Trading Co. sales manager Naoki Oura.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people have been affected by Typhoon Soudelor and they need a lot of help. That\u2019s why we decided to donate to Karidat so that they can help people [on] Saipan,\u201d WSTCO sales supervisor Joey Ejercito said.<\/p>\n

Ogumoro said these donations keep them going and give them the ability to restock as they give out everything that they have to those in need.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is just fantastic. This adds to our ability to purchase more food and water. We\u2019ve been going out house-to-house and a lot of people are asking for water and food,\u201d Ogumoro said.<\/p>\n

She said they continue to go out to villages such as San Roque and Tanapag but they are also working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Red Cross NMI Chapter to go directly to homes to assess and not only to give relief.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
