{"id":209866,"date":"2015-09-07T06:06:08","date_gmt":"2015-09-06T20:06:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=209866"},"modified":"2015-09-07T06:06:08","modified_gmt":"2015-09-06T20:06:08","slug":"all-villages-now-have-limited-water-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/all-villages-now-have-limited-water-service\/","title":{"rendered":"All villages now have limited water service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With all villages on Saipan already getting limited water service, the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. has closed the three remaining water filling stations in Kannat Tabla, Navy Hill, and As Teo.<\/p>\n<p>CUC activated a total of six filling stations for customers across Saipan after water service was unavailable in the wake of Typhoon Soudelor. Acting executive director John Riegel said the water filling stations were utilized as an immediate and temporary solution to Saipan\u2019s lack of water.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was always part of our plan to close the filling stations once we were able to bring limited water service to every village [on] Saipan,\u201d said Riegel. \u201cAs we\u2019ve come closer to accomplishing our goal, the number of customers at the filling stations has steadily decreased.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With Power Division crews continuing to energize more wells, the hours of limited water service will continue to increase.
