Depending on circumstances, organizers stated that despite this being designated as the start date, the task may start either earlier or later. As the date nears, workers are stressing to the general public that should they need their storm-related debris picked up, they must adhere to the following guidelines:

• Due to government vehicles not being allowed to enter private property without domiciliary consent, residents are asked to place debris alongside the right of way portion of their village streets.
• Residents are also asked to separate debris into three categories:
Green waste and vegetation (Tree limbs, stumps, shrubs etc.)
Metal-based debris (tin, aluminum siding, etc.)

Treated wood/lumber
• No household waste will be picked up by the team that is not related to storm cleanup.
• If debris is not segregated into the above-mentioned categories, cleanup crews will not dispose of them.

This project is being undertaken in coordination with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
