{"id":210461,"date":"2015-09-15T06:00:01","date_gmt":"2015-09-14T20:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=210461"},"modified":"2015-09-15T06:00:01","modified_gmt":"2015-09-14T20:00:01","slug":"local-artists-sought-for-pacific-nexgen-artists-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/local-artists-sought-for-pacific-nexgen-artists-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Local artists sought for Pacific NexGen Artists program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>HONOLULU, Hawaii<\/strong>\u2014The Pacific Islands Society has announced the next edition of its Pacific Next Generation Artists Program, which targets visual artists (aged 35 and below) from the Pacific Islands.<\/p>\n<p>The 2016 Pacific NexGen Artists program will provide regional artists with a global stage to showcase their talents. Successful applicants will be given their own virtual gallery on the PacSoc website as well as marketing and communications support to create global awareness for their brand. Participants will also be invited to contribute thought leadership articles about contemporary issues in Pacific art.<\/p>\n<p>Jeffry Feeger, a participant from the inaugural class of 2014 Pacific NexGen Artists, says the program \u201cenables young artists to establish a collective presence.
