{"id":210659,"date":"2015-09-18T06:00:02","date_gmt":"2015-09-17T20:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=210659"},"modified":"2015-09-18T06:00:02","modified_gmt":"2015-09-17T20:00:02","slug":"govt-on-time-with-utility-bills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/govt-on-time-with-utility-bills\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt on time with utility bills"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Despite anticipated government revenue losses after Typhoon Soudelor, the local government has been on time with its utility bills, according to administration and utility officials.<\/p>\n<p>Commonwealth Utilities Corp. chief financial officer Matthew Yaquinto told <em>Saipan Tribune<\/em> yesterday that the central government and the Public School System are \u201cgood\u201d on payments, confirming a report from an administration official that the government is current.<\/p>\n<p>The exact figures of payments were not made available as of press time.<\/p>\n<p>There are some $2 million in back payments owed from previous years, but the administration has been making payments since the typhoon.
