He, however, lost to Santos in the title game.<\/p>\n<p>Santos, for his part, dropped to the loser\u2019s bracket after that loss to Gatmaitan where he needed to get past Jayson \u201cThe Fire\u201d John in order to arrange another showdown with his elimination round tormentor.<\/p>\n<p>He also scored wins over Erwin Clavecillas, Joey Pangelinan, and John in the eliminations before losing to Gatmaitan.<\/p>\n<p>Santos went home with $110, a trophy, and a SEDA shirt, while Gatmaitan settled for the $70 runner-up purse and also a SEDA shirt.<\/p>\n<p>Carter \u201cAce\u201d Calma, Boom \u201cBang\u201d Cruz, Paul \u201cThe Flash\u201d Quizon, \u201cKevin KJ\u201d Villagomez, Leo Santos, Leo Wania, James Benavente, Vince Repeki, Darol Atalig, and Claro Bicol were also among the 18 players who joined the double-elimination round tournament, which collected a $10 entry fee.<\/p>\n<p>Butac went undefeated in claiming the billiards crown beating the likes of last week\u2019s winner Ray Matsunaga,Nolan Cultura, and Rico Montano in the double-eliminations before dispatching Boyet Sequico in the championship mach.<\/p>\n<p>Butac\u2019s efforts earned him $50, a trophy, and a water park pass for two at Pacific Islands Club. Sequioco went home with $30 and an SBA shirt<\/p>\n<p>Erwin Gomez, Rey Hermogenes, and Robert Lieberwirth were the other players that paid the $10 entrance fee to join the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>The island\u2019s power is not yet fully restored in some areas and that is why SEDA and SBA could not get their season going.
